Meet KAʻILI

Ka’ili Trask O’Connell was born and raised in Kailua, Oahu; graduated from Punahou School in 1985; earned her BSBA at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1989; and invested the first 15 years of her leadership career with national companies in Los Angeles, Chicago, and St. Louis. She returned home to Hawai’i in 2004.

Ka’ili’s vast experience, coupled with her ability to develop personal connections, makes her an ideal partner for leadership execution and guidance. Ka’ili has the unique ability to get in the weeds with her detail-oriented mindset, yet also pull back to develop and articulate strategic direction. Her organizational skills enable her to build structured processes and plans, yet her love for out-of-the box ideas allows her creativity to inspire. Finally, her local roots and experience, along with her mainland exposure, give her a fresh perspective that will add value to any Hawaii organization.

Ka’ili is married to Kevin O’Connell and they have three children: Brennan, Ke’ala, and Kalena.  Ka’ili enjoys spending time with her family; dancing and teaching hula as Alaka’i under Kumu Hula Darcey Moniz with Puka’ikapuaokalani Hula Halau; and training at Egan’s Bootcamp in Kailua.
